Seeing the world anew

Kuda Vana’s motto, “Do for a few what we’d like to do for many” is exemplified in the individual care we give to each child. This extends from their emotional and mental health needs, to personalized educational experiences and medical needs. We treat each child the way we would treat our own - we can do this because we are intentional in the size and scope of our work.

Danai is loving seeing the world through her new glasses!

Danai* is a sweet five-year old girl who came to Kuda Vana when she was two, along with her two older sisters. Their home situation was not a safe one, and they have enjoyed the stability and care they have been receiving at Kuda Vana since their arrival.

Little Danai is very outgoing, and loves singing and dancing. It was evident early on that she had problems with her eyes, but took some time to get her in to an eye doctor as she came to Kuda Vana in the height of the Covid-19 pandemic and lockdowns.

We were recently able to take her to an Ophthalmologist to have her eyes assessed. Dana was excited to get glasses, and the doctor will be monitoring their effect and soon decide whether surgery is necessary.

In the meantime, this sweet girl is enjoying her increased vision and fun new glasses! Danai is learning to see the world for all its possibilities because of the love and care she is receiving at Kuda Vana: a place where no-one will ever harm her, and her needs are always met.

This kind of care is only possible because of generous donors - thank you for caring!

*Kuda Vana never uses the real names of children in our care
