BE “THE VILLAGE” FOR A VULNERABLE CHILD

Do you want to make a lasting impact on the life of a child? Monthly donations are the most powerful and effective way to support work you believe in.

Because Kuda Vana is working towards placing children in forever families through adoption or reunification, we do not have a traditional “child sponsorship model”. Your monthly gift will be used to ensure each child in our care not just survives, but thrives, no matter how long they are with us.

"JOIN THE VILLAGE" FAQ'S

  • Your monthly gift of $25 or more helps provide food, clothing, education, medical and mental health support and love to a child placed at Kuda Vana. It costs about $416 a month, or $5,000 annually to care for a child.

  • Many people assume that things are significantly cheaper in places like Zimbabwe. In fact, while the cost of labor is less expensive than many places, items like food, gas, medicine, clothing and supplies are typically equal to, if not more expensive, than the U.S.

  • Unfortunately, no. Because Kuda Vana’s goal is to find forever families for each child, your support will go towards ensuring each child placed at Kuda Vana has the best possible care while they are with us. Signing up for our newsletter here will get you monthly updates on how your gifts are changing lives!

  • Kuda Vana’s goal is to become a place that cares for children while they are on their way to a forever family through adoption, fostering or reunification. This means that a child could be with us for a short, or a long period of time. The administrative burden to create and send updates and photos for individual children is immense - Kuda Vana runs a lean operation so that 100% of your gifts can be used to benefit the children in our care. • While we appreciate the desire of our donors to send special gifts or notes, for a variety of reasons it is not in the best interest of the children in our care. They know they are loved because they are so well cared for!
